1998: I made a promotional video for a new business, Soccer Schools UK Limited, with an aspirational intro scene and a specially written and produced song. My friend and ex-colleague Daryl Claypole was one of the founder Directors of Soccer Schools UK and he wrote the words of the song. David Williams wrote the music and produced the recording, using the best voices of kids from the local (Hucknall) Soccer Schools UK club. Dave’s recording studios are visible in the background of the kids singing. I remember having to conduct the singing so that they all looked as if they were singing in time. I also recall Daryl being desperate to see any result of what seemed to be months of filming, so I invited him down to the edit studio, in the early hours, to see the rough cut of the intro scene that I had just finished. He was moved to tears.
